BkHotmail is a small plugin for Becky! users only that allows you to check your Hotmail account e-mail from within Becky!. Unlike standard mail accounts which allow users to retrieve their e-mail through a POP mail client, Hotmail can normally only be checked on the web.

This guide shows you how to get SpamPal to work with BkHotmail, which should give you spam free access to your hotmail account!

Step 1 - Download and Install BkHotmail

Download the following file (main site here)

Step 2 - Configure BkHotmail
By default SpamPal will use a POP3 port to access your email (port 110) and the default BkHotmail settings will use port 6110 to access Hotmail, so you shouldn't actually need to configure any settings in BkHotmail.

However, should you need to you can access the BkHotmail settings, by going to Tools, Plug-ins Setup and then selecting the Becky! Hotmail plug-in:

Step 3 - Configure your email program
You now need to configure your email program, to use Hotmail Popper and SpamPal, in this example, we'll just configure the POP3 protocol and assume your hotmail email address is: myaddr@hotmail.com

So, make sure your
POP3 (Mail) Server is set to: 127.0.0.1

Now, change your User ID to this format:

myaddr@hotmail.com@127.0.0.1:6110
Password : your_hotmail_password

So, you should now have something that looks like this screen:
Following this change, your email program, talks to SpamPal on it's normal pop3 port 110.

SpamPal then receives a request to talk to 127.0.0.1 on port 6110 (which is BkHotmail).

As BkHotmail is looking at port 6110, it sees SpamPal's request forwards it onto Hotmail's sever.
